Examples of Websites Designed and Built by Allen M. Stovall:

True West- Home of Westward Ho Rodeo China.
True West commissioned me to completely re-design their original website, with new graphics and a bold, new look. In addition, the assignment was to convert it to an e-commerce site which wouldn't suffer the bland look and feel of a generic shopping cart. The new design has garnered compliments from many of its visitors, one of which described it as "drop-dead gorgeous".

Created in 1943 by cowboy artist Till Goodan and manufactured by Wallace China until 1964, Rodeo pattern dinnerware, as well as subsequent patterns such as Boots & Saddle, Longhorn, and Little Buckaroo, are highly-prized collectibles today. True West has been authorized to faithfully reproduce these original lines of high-quality, heavy-duty, made-in- the-USA dinnerware, which are now available on their website.

"Dear Allen, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for your aesthetic vision and dedication in creating True West's new e-commerce site. I have had many compliments on the new design and layout. I am truly glad we were able to use your services to get exactly what we had in mind for our new concept. Your attention to detail and your willingness to work with me on any aspect of the project was greatly appreciated. I would feel confident in recommending L.A. LightWorks for anyone's graphic and/or design needs. Job well done!

Best Regards, Pat Turner"

Rancho Providencia: "A Country Estate In the City, For All Your Wedding Needs". The client's mandate for this project was to create a website which would reflect and complement the design and layout of exisitng printed material, using exisitng graphic art and backgrounds. The result is a very unconventional and eye-catching site, which is attracting new business on an almost daily basis. Embedded video, which is accessible on a wide variety of browsers and portable devices, is the icing on the wedding cake.

Effects Animation by Allen Blyth
A minimal amount of text was required for this artist's website to be effective– his two animation demo reels, embedded as QuickTime video, speak for themselves. A simple, elegant design was requested and delivered.

The Waldorf Institute of Southern California (WISC)
This site is a prime example of the successful application of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) phrases– its ranking in the three major search engines soared from mediocre to excellent within a few months of such an application. WISC commissioned me to completely re-design their existing website, giving it a very different look from its original, text-only presentation. Between the re-design and the SEO work, the site now enjoys very robust daily traffic.

WISC is a teacher training institute with the express purpose of "Preparing Dedicated and Capable Individuals to Teach in Waldorf Schools". Creativity is one of the central aspects of Waldorf education, in its academic programs as well as its many and varied artistic activities. WISC wanted their website to reflect that creative spirit, with the goal of attracting adults who wish to be a part of this vital and rapidly-growing educational movement.

The Mower Shop, Inc.
This large e-commerce site, an ongoing work in progress, consistently ranks in the top three results– usually holding the number one position– in all the major search engines, for search phrases pertaining to its featured products, Grasshopper Lawn Mower parts. It's another example of an existing site which I was commissioned to re-design and take over maintenance of, after which the shop's owners reported receiving numerous compliments from customers who felt it was a great improvement.

Attention Getters Design creates custom signs, banners, trade show & expo displays, giant inflatables, and many more such promotional items. They recently commissioned me to create a specialty site featuring select lines of event banners and signs, which would complement their existing, main website. The assignment was to make it both informational and attractive, and most importantly, to make it attractive to search engines.

One very important element of a successful project is good communication, and I make a point of frequently keeping my clients apprised of a project's status, as well as asking vital questions to ensure that time and effort are not wasted. Below are a few short excerpts from e-mail communications between myself and Attention Getters' CEO Kevin Kennedy, in which he responded to the work in progress:

"Thanx Allen!... It looks great!!!... Tracey and I are loving it! It looks fantastic! Beautiful!!... Thank you so much for all your positive help in getting the site to look so professional!"

Oregon Turn-key Resort For Sale.
Joe Creek RV Resort and General Store, in beautful southwestern Oregon, is a consistently profitable turn-key business currently for sale by its owners, who wish to sell so they may retire and travel. Dissatisfied with the lackluster manner in which their resort was presented on the Internet by local realtors, they took matters into their own hands and commissioned me to design an attractive and informative site, as well as to create an original graphic banner (also known as a "masthead") incorporating the resort's existing logo. The central feature of the site is its Flash photo slide show, which gives a tour of the verdant landscape and impeccably-maintained facilities.

Art by Chiz, featuring watercolors and other media by Chizuko Judy Sugita de Queiroz. The centerpiece of her site is a series of 60 paintings, available as individual prints or collected in book form, which depict vivid memories of her childhood experiences living with her family in a WWII concentration camp.

The artist requested a black background for her site, to emphasize and enhance the bright, saturated colors in her paintings.

Planetary Matrix, "A gateway to infinite possibilities", is light years beyond the ordinary astrological consultation service. Your host, KatRama, uses astrology in terms of quantum physics; she brings a wealth of wisdom, intuition, and experience to each reading.

The Planetary Matrix logo was created by Allen Stovall, with creative, collaborative input by KatRama. The website is a work in progress, though its home page expresses in one image what many sites might need a thousand words to say.

Archangelic Healing Dolls: a website created for Waldorf Pre-School teacher and dollmaker, Marzia Lombardo. Marzia lovingly imbues her dolls with positive spiritual energy; each is hand-stitched and one-of-a-kind.

After having produced several of them, Ms. Lombardo eventually decided to limit her dollmaking and retire the website, so she could devote more time to teaching. The site is now off-line.

Electric Pigasus: artwork, sculpture, animation, & photography by Masa Oshiro. This site utilized Flash slide show galleries to display the artist's extensive portfolios of artworks & photography. Masa designed and illustrated the site, and Allen Stovall built it to the artist's specifications.

After a few years of having an internet presence, the artist decided to retire the site and focus on other projects. It is no longer online, but you may click on the image at right to see an enlargement of the home page.
